1. Our commitment
Rishteey prohibits any content, behaviour or account that sexualises, grooms, exploits or endangers children. This applies to profiles, photos, messages and any other use of our website and apps.
2. Adults only
- Members must be at least 18 years old (women) or 21 years old (men), in line with the legal age of marriage in India.
- Date of birth is required at registration, and accounts below the minimum age cannot be created.
- Profiles created by parents or relatives must also be for adults of legal marriage age.
- We remove any account we find belongs to, or is created for, a minor.
3. Prohibited content and behaviour
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn or AI-generated images.
- Grooming, or any attempt to contact, meet or obtain images of a minor.
- Arranging, promoting or facilitating child marriage.
- Photos of children used as profile pictures.
4. How we prevent and detect abuse
- Every new profile and photo is reviewed by our moderation team before it appears.
- Verification selfies help confirm members are adults and who they say they are.
- Members can report any profile directly, and reports about child safety are handled first.
- Our team is trained to recognise and escalate signs of child exploitation.
5. What we do when we find it
- We remove the content and permanently ban the account.
- We preserve relevant information and report it to Indian law enforcement, including through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, as required under the POCSO Act, 2012 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
- We cooperate fully with lawful requests from the police and other authorities.
6. How to report
- Use the report option on any profile.
- Email our child safety contact at safety@rishteey.com.
- Report online child abuse material directly at cybercrime.gov.in, or call the cybercrime helpline 1930.
- In an emergency, call 112. For help for a child, call Childline 1098.
