1. About these terms
These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and Rishteey (registered company name) ("Rishteey", "we", "us"), which operates rishteey.com and the Rishteey apps. By creating an account or using Rishteey you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Safety Tips.
2. Rishteey is for marriage only
Rishteey is a matrimonial service for people seeking marriage (nikah). It is not a dating or casual relationship service. When you register you confirm that you, or the person you are registering for, intend to marry.
3. Who can register
- Women must be at least 18 years old and men at least 21 years old, in line with the legal age of marriage in India.
- You must be legally free to marry under the laws that apply to you.
- You may register for yourself or, with their consent, for a son, daughter, brother, sister or relative. The person the profile is about must agree to it.
- One person may have only one active profile.
4. Your account and information
- Everything you put on your profile must be true, current and about the person the profile represents. Fake, misleading or impersonating profiles will be removed.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for all activity on your account.
- We may ask for identity and address proof, and a selfie, to verify you. Verified status is shown with a red badge for Premium members who pass this check.
- New profiles and photos are reviewed before they appear, and we may decline or remove any profile at our discretion.
5. Chat and contact with other members
- Chat is available free once a member accepts your interest. Premium members may have extra ways to contact members, as described on the Membership page.
- Be respectful. Harassment, abuse, sexual content, hate speech and pressure for money are not allowed.
- Never send money or share bank, card or OTP details with another member. Rishteey will never ask for them in chat.
- We may automatically hide phone numbers, emails and links in messages until both members agree to share them.
6. Things you must not do
- Use Rishteey for dating, commercial promotion, recruitment or any purpose other than finding a spouse.
- Post content that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, or that violates anyone's privacy or intellectual property.
- Copy, scrape or collect other members' information, or use bots or automated tools.
- Upload photos of other people without their permission.
- Try to break, overload or get around the security of the website or apps.
7. Premium plans and payments
Premium plans give extra features for a fixed period, at the prices shown at checkout including applicable GST. Payments are processed by our payment partner. Plans do not renew automatically unless you choose auto-renewal. Refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. No guarantee of a match
Rishteey helps members find and contact each other. We do not guarantee that you will find a match or get married, and we are not responsible for decisions you make about other members. Please do your own checks and involve your family before any commitment.
9. Verification and safety limits
We review profiles and offer ID verification, but we cannot confirm every detail a member provides. Read our Safety Tips and report anything suspicious from the profile or chat.
10. Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts other members at risk. Where the law requires, we keep certain records after an account is closed, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
11. Content you share
You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload. You give Rishteey permission to store and display them on Rishteey to other members, according to your privacy settings, for as long as your profile is active.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Rishteey is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the conduct of any member on or off the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes by email or in the app, and remind all members of our terms at least once a year.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Raipur, Chhattisgarh have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under consumer protection law.
15. Grievances and contact
Complaints can be sent to our Grievance Officer, Grievance Officer name, at grievance@rishteey.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
