Most members are genuine families, but online matrimony attracts fraud too. These habits keep you safe.
Never send money
No genuine match asks for money, gifts, visa fees or help with an emergency. Stop chatting and report them.
Keep personal details private
Do not share your home address, workplace, bank details or OTPs until you have met and checked the family.
Look for the verified badge
The red verified badge means a Premium member has passed an ID and phone check. Still do your own checks.
Involve your family early
Use Wali mode to add a parent or guardian to the chat. Serious families welcome this.
Meet in public, with family
First meetings should be in a public place, with family members present, and you should tell someone where you are going.
Check their story
Ask for video calls, verify job and family details, and be wary of anyone who avoids meeting or keeps changing their story.
Protect your photos
Keep photo privacy on until you trust the person. Report anyone who misuses your photos.
Report anything suspicious
Use the flag on any profile or chat. Our team reviews every report. For harassment or fraud, you can also call the national cybercrime helpline 1930 or report at cybercrime.gov.in.
