1. Who we are
Rishteey (registered company name) ("Rishteey") runs rishteey.com and the Rishteey apps, a matrimonial service for Muslim families in Chhattisgarh and across India. We are responsible for the personal data described here.
2. What we collect

3. Sensitive information
Your religion, sect and marriage plans are personal. We use them only to provide the matrimonial service you signed up for, and you control who sees your photos and contact details.
4. Who can see your information
- Other members see your profile details. Photos and contact details follow your privacy settings.
- Our team reviews profiles, photos, verification documents and reported chats, only as needed to run and protect the service.
- Service providers who work for us under contract: hosting, SMS OTP, email, app notifications and payments.
- Authorities when the law requires it, for example a valid order from a court or government agency.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Your consent and choices
- We ask for your consent when you register, and you can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account.
- You can edit your profile, change photo privacy, hide your profile, or download a copy of your data from Settings.
- You can ask us to correct or erase your data by writing to grievance@rishteey.com.
- You can turn off marketing emails and notifications at any time.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your profile from Rishteey straight away, and erase the rest unless the law requires us to keep it. For example, we keep registration records for 180 days after an account closes, the profile creator's IP address for up to one year, payment records as tax law requires, and security logs for at least one year.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections, encrypted storage for verification documents and messages, access controls for our team, and regular backups. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
8. Children
Rishteey is only for adults of legal marriage age. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to register, and we remove such profiles when we find them.
9. Changes
We will tell you about important changes to this policy by email or in the app before they take effect.
